Ernst Willi, Head of Corporate Development and a member of the Executive Committee of Fischer since 1995, will retire on 31 December 2009. As of January 2010, Yves Serra will combine the function of Head of Corporate Development with his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Ernst Willi, Dr. phil. I (aged 63), has worked for Georg Fischer since 1991. In 1993 he took over as Head of Corporate Development, and in 1995 the Board of Directors appointed him a member of the Executive Committee. Under his stewardship, important advances in the strategic development of the Corporation were initiated and implemented. One of Ernst Willi s major achievements was to promote the fundamental values of Georg Fischer, thereby making a significant contribution to the collective corporate culture. The Board of Directors and Executive Committee thank Ernst Willi for his great commitment and successful work and wish him health and happiness in a new and fulfilling stage of his life.

The Executive Committee will be reduced by one member and now consists of the following six people: Yves Serra, CEO; Pietro Lori, GF Piping Systems; Josef Edbauer, GF Automotive; Michael Hauser, GF AgieCharmilles; Roland Abt, CFO; Jürg Krebser, Delegate of the CEO for Corporate Projects.
